Bloggin'

A friend of mine gave me a piece of information this week, and I came to the realization that I have been making some mistakes. Over the past week I've been reading the '25 Pieces of Advice for Bloggers.' I've realized that over the past several weeks I have been committing several mistakes. They are as I see them as follows:

  • #23 Advoid blogging angry. It may save you a lot of grief. "With trying to upgrade the system, and dealing with work details, and the neighbors I've been very angry latley. I'm now trying to take a break and relax."
  • #8 Keep your chin up when the post you're sure is going to pull in tons of trafic completly bombs... "this has happened to me, and since I was angry at my world at the time it hurt my site."
  • #4 On the week-ends expect your traffic to drop 40% whether you post or not. "This also took awhile for me to notice, and accept."
  • #16 Set a minimum level of acceptable content on your page each day and make sure you meet it(barring unusal circumstances) each day..."this week it was; Computer problem, Chevy problem, Subaru problem, the Weiners at the job problem, all fixed but taken as an day by day affect hurt my blog work."
  • #17 Even if you only have 7 people reading, work like you have 7000 readers. Because if you don't work hard when you have no readers, you're never going to 7000. "true, very true this is what I am working on."

As I noted there are 25 tips, and I noted a few of my own personal mistakes. I hope to be correcting them even today, for I am not angry even though I had to wait an hour or two to post. But I was able to contact "habitatgirl" and leave her a comment so all is not lost. I hope soon to be making some advances in my blog soon, but right now as long as I can post my take on the world as I see it, without being angry at my corner of the planet then I am doing what I need to be doing.
